This year the main hall at the Maroochydore Community Centre celebrates 40 years. Officially opened on 28 October 1978, this was the first phase of the centre's development.
With the addition of the Day Respite Centre in August 1987, the centre has become a vital community hub providing a meeting place, social support, respite care and more than one million meals to the aged and elderly community on the central Sunshine Coast.
After all this hard work and wear and tear, the centre has received a well-deserved upgrade, including replacement of the roof damaged over the storm season.
The centre has now re-opened and we look forward to welcoming our customers and the community back to the Maroochydore Day Respite Centre. Visit our events page for more details about our centre activities and outings program.
