Day to day life at Boronia Cottage
Enjoy breakfast in bed, fish and chips by the sea or an island adventure - customers can work with our Activities Coordinator and a team of Support Workers to plan their own stay and enjoy as much, or as little of Island life as they choose.
There are plenty of activities on Bribie including the Seaside Museum, Butterfly House, weekend markets and Bribie Twin Cinema, as well as an assortment of delicious dining opportunities at local restaurants and cafes.
We offer a variety of in-house activities also, including arts and crafts, games and trivia, cooking experiences and movie days.

Who will look after my loved one?
A dedicated care team will look after your loved one 24/7. Before arrival, a care plan will be created to ensure the same requirements and level of home support are met as if you're still at home.
How many guests can stay in the cottage at one time?
The cottage has four bedrooms, each with purpose-built ensuite facilities. A maximum of two guests can stay in a room at any time. Private rooms can be organised, subject to availability.
Is the cottage adapted for people with mobility needs?
The cottage is purpose-built, specifically for high-care needs with wide corridors and wheelchair friendly access. As a dementia-friendly environment, there are secure access and pressure-sensitive mats to protect people from wandering and falling. Every aspect of the home has been designed for safety.
Are all meals included?
Wholesome, home-cooked meals are prepared in the cottage kitchen. If cooking is something your loved one enjoys, they can help prepare and cook if they wish. All dietary requirements are accommodated for, nothing is too much trouble.
How long can my loved one stay?
Short-term stays are available from one night to two weeks. Your Care Coordinator can discuss this while organising a care plan.
What are the fees?
