Comfort and security - a home away from home
About Boronia Cottage
Originally a typical 1970s homestead, the cottage was re-built in 2012 specifically for respite care use. The cottage has been transformed into an ideal solution for people with care needs with spacious areas, bedrooms with all-ability ensuite bathrooms and a modern kitchen.
Just 40 minutes north of Brisbane, the cottage is situated on Bribie Island, a naturally beautiful location surrounded by a pristine beachline.
Day to day life
Each visitor can plan their own day and will be waited on hand and foot. All they need do is soak up the holiday feeling and enjoy the fresh seaside air.
There are plenty of activities on Bribie Island, including the Butterfly House, Seaside Museum, craft markets and fishing trips.
Sometimes it’s just the simple things
Breakfast in bed, coffee by the sea, or a fresh home-made cake for morning tea in the garden.
Fish and chips by the beach, a pamper afternoon - or crafting activities, games and cooking opportunities.
During your loved one’s stay, they can enjoy as much or as little of island life as they want. Our staff are dedicated to each person’s individualised care, to ensure they are happy and comfortable.
