In the 8 weeks of being on the Short-Term Restorative Care Program I regained enough mobility so as to not use my walking aids, and I no longer have the fear of falling.
I would definitely recommend this program to others.
I did not know what was available until we had an assessment. The support provided was enormously helpful! They are wonderful and there is no problem. One phone call and it was done. The flexible respite options are great. I have even had spur of the moment respite for unforeseen events. It was available on the day/time I requested.
I use the carers groups and Partners in Recovery. My favourite part is knowing we are not alone. Having support and someone to talk to when our lives seem so hard and we feel desperate. Suncare is an amazing organisation with understanding and responsive staff who give us practical support - empathetic listening. I recommend Suncare.
I use the respite services and social support.
You get to meet people and taken places. I enjoy sitting and talking to all the other people. There are some characters amongst them like me!
I use the respite services, social support and I get help with my cats. My favourite part are the outings and trips, we go all over the coast. The staff are lovely and great personalities. Lovely meals on wheels lunch. Suncare helps me get out of my house.
I enjoy the day respite. Suncare makes me feel important and part of something.
I use the day respite services. I like the activities and the chats. Suncare has provided me ongoing support which changes and my needs change. There are a lot of choices and I would recommend Suncare to family and friends.
Suncare helps me with day respite and my cats. If it wasn’t for Suncare I would be very isolated. Suncare have helped me grow and I feel more confident now. I recommend Suncare to family and friends. In my village, I let everyone know about Suncare!
