Suncare Meals on Wheels volunteers have cooked and prepared 150 lamingtons and 150 Anzac biscuits for the Rotary Club of Mooloolaba in time for Australia Day.

Picture of lamingtonsRotary Club President Geoff Hopkins contacted Suncare’s Community and Wellbeing Manager Mat Walker to ask if Meal on Wheels could supply the club with some tasty treats for its Australia Day ceremony.

Mat spoke with Principal Cook Aaron Hoffmann who embraced the idea of helping the club. Aaron and three volunteers, Marg Wade, Jackie Wade and Pam Clark, donned their hairnets, rolled up their sleeves and got baking.

“It was a joint effort. Jackie started off the rolling and then Pam jumped in and helped finish off, and did a heap of lamington wrapping.”
