If continuing to live independently at home is important for you, it’s important you have access to the support you may need. 

There are many in-home services available which can help you manage more easily at home. In-home services may include assistance with weekly chores such as cleaning or shopping, a daily meal delivery, transportation services or more essential services such as regular nursing care.  

Suncare has a 40 year history of supporting Queenslanders with personal in-home services and solutions to help people live independently at home.  Suncare Home Care Packages can help you to stay in your own home, connected to your community and in control of your lifestyle.  

 
What is a Home Care Package? 
Home Care Packages are government subsidised programs providing support for people who wish to remain living independently at home. To be able to access Home Care Packages you will need to undertake an assessment with a member of an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). The ACAT team will visit you in your home to discuss your eligibility and support needs.  

Home Care Packages, available through a number of providers, enable you to have full control over the types of services you chooseand how and when services are delivered. You are also able to alter your services as your needs change. There are four levels of Home Care Package support available: 

  1. Level 1: Basic care requirements. 
  1. Level 2: Low-level care requirements. 
  1. Level 3: Intermediate care requirements. 
  1. Level 4: High-level care requirements. 

The hours of care are increased at each level of care.
 

What services are available through Suncare?

Home care services are based on your individual needs and level of support. Suncare will coordinate with you the care and services that you would like. Our services include:

  • Transport services
  • Social events and activities
  • Respite services
  • Meals and cooking
  • Housekeeping assistance
  • Home modifications
  • Home and garden maintenance
