Yes, there are services for:

  • Carers who are caring for someone who is frail aged or younger with a disability, has dementia or has dementia and challenging behaviors, is palliative and requiring support including
  • Young People who are caring for a family member
  • Older People who are caring for a family member or friend
  • People with a disability who are being cared for or caring for a family member or friend
  • People recovering from an illness who are/have a full time carer
  • People requiring help at home who may be frail aged, have a disability or mental illness
  • People with dementia and their families
  • People with a terminal illness and their families
  • People with a mental illness
  • People receiving HACC services
  • People who are working and are full time carers

 

However, the first step is the person’s eligibility and needs must be determined through an assessment process in accordance with our guidelines and if required the person can be referred to a more appropriate service that best meets those needs.

Importantly, Service Providers including G.P.’s can refer and/or contact services if they have a client they are concerned about .
