Health and Wellbeing Program
Suncare recognises the importance of supporting carers to maintain their Health and Wellbeing and aims to provide carers with opportunities to build and sustain resilience as they continue in their caring role.
The aim of the Health and Wellbeing program is to promote awareness of the importance of self care and to provide strategies that assist carers maintain their Health and Wellbeing. It will look at assisting individuals to access information and resources such as education, workshops and activities within the community to support their own Health and Wellbeing.
Carers also need opportunities to explore alternative care services, receive counseling and gain respite in order to promote positive Health and Wellbeing.
Where it has been identified that these supports are not available we will look at implementing programs/workshops or developing partnerships to establish these resources both internally and externally.
Support can focus on the social, emotional, physical, spiritual, cultural or personal environments of the individual.
