Direct Respite Services Management of a certified Training Arm in partnership with Southern Cross Connections is aligned with Community Services National Competency Standards, capable of qualifying interested persons, their staff and those of other organizations in:

• Certificate 111 in Aged Care
      - Certificate Course Modules available on application
• Certificate  IV  in Aged Care
• Front Line Management  
• Statement of Attainment Courses

  - available include;

  - WH&S Manual Handling, Risk Assessment & Infection Control

  - Assist with self Medication

  - Food Handling Safety

  - Dementia and Challenging Behaviors

   

The courses available are offered in a flexible, mature, learning environment with qualified and trained staff supporting students throughout the duration of their studies. Field placement is an important element of the course and all students are supported in their placements accordingly as well as receiving opportunities for practical experience in Cottage Respite facilities.

The Training Managers primary purpose is to develop abilities in individuals in order for them to have the capacity to provide a diverse, flexible, innovative, high standard of service to the client groups across the complete range of services required for working in the aged care, community and disabilities services sector. The secondary purpose is to increase the capacity of other organizations to have staff able to competently provide aged care and relevant respite services to national standards.

Suncare Community Services Inc. in partnership with Southern Cross Connection is offering places for the next Certificate III in Aged Care Work Course due to commence June 2nd 2008 at Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast QLD.

We are offering Nationally Accredited Training in Aged Care Work with hands on training provided to students in conjunction with 2 days weekly tuition in the classroom. This Certificate Course is Austudy approved and is provided in a flexible and supportive learning environment by qualified, professional and experienced trainers.
