The Community Alternative Transport Service is funded by a joint Commonwealth/State Program.
This service commenced in June 2002.
The Community Alternative Transport Service is designed to assist people who experience frail age or disabilities over the age of 18 years.
The service enables people to access our community for shopping, enjoy social outings, and attend medical and other appointments.
Shopping Bus
The shopping bus runs Monday to Thursday from the following areas.

The cost is $5 return – $8 per couple
Medical and Other Transport
All prices are quoted when you make a booking.
Prices range from $5.00 to $20.00. Costs are calculated on distance travelled from your pickup point to your destination.
Appointments for hospital, medical, dental, physio, podiatry, massage, xray and scans, chiropractic, hairdresser or any other appointment.
You could also visit the library, a friend or relative at their home or in a hospital or nursing home.

Transport is available from the above suburbs to within central areas including Caloundra, Nambour and Noosa.

All persons who are HACC eligible may receive the service.
Assessments are done over the phone.
The Community Alternative Transport Service program is run under the Auspice of Suncare Community Services Inc.
